Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty Music Manga Gets TV Anime Adaptation
Lady Ririsa Suzunomiya makes her debut in 2025, as Hiroshi Fukuda’s Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty manga finally inspires an anime adaptation.
The announcement was unveiled in an official X (formerly Twitter) post on Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine account.
Along with the announcement, the creator drew an illustration to celebrate the anime news, as shown below:
So far, there are no concrete details about the anime adaptation, including its cast, staff, and studio, so fans will have to wait for more information in the coming weeks leading up to its premiere.
Hiroshi Fukuda’s Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty manga has been serialized in Young Animal magazine since October 2022. It is still ongoing, having released four individual tankobon volumes as of now.
Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty to Debut in 2025
The release date window for the anime is set for sometime in 2025, which means there’s no exact release date yet for the upcoming music anime series.
Usually, it takes a year for an anime to be released after the announcement has been made. Some take six months, depending on the pacing of the anime’s production.
If that’s the case, the Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty anime could come out by early January 2025 or later, probably in mid-2025.
If the production is well underway, then the waiting time could be shorter than anticipated.

The coming-of-age and music series centers on a young and wealthy girl named Ririsa Suzunomiya, who enters an all-girls school where only elite girls from all over the country attend.
She is originally an ordinary girl until her mother marries a real-estate tycoon, leading her to give up her passion for rock music and playing the guitar.
In a sudden turn of events, Ririsa rekindles her passion after meeting a highly skilled drummer who also attends the same school.
