A fan art of Robert Downey Jr.'s version of Doctor Doom has stunned a lot of MCU fans online and made them more hype about the casting.
During their San Diego Comic-Con Hall H presentation, Marvel Studios officially announced that the Oscar winner is making his grand comeback in the MCU as Doctor Doom in the upcoming Avengers movies.
The announcement has sparked mixed reactions among fans online as some of them were happy to see Downey back in the MCU while some were also concerned about the unusual casting choice.

Following the announcement of Downey's casting, renowned artist Kode Abdo (aka BossLogic) posted his artwork of the actor as Doctor Doom, who dons an Iron Man-esque mask.
However, the artwork only went viral just recently thanks to YouTuber Supes' post of the printed artwork that he apparently received from the Russo Brothers, who are returning to direct the upcoming Avengers movies. Is this a sign of things to come?
Initially, some fans thought the artwork that Supes posted was the official concept art of Downey as Doctor Doom before it was corrected that it was artwork from BossLogic.
Nevertheless, it made them excited since it was a tease of what they could expect from Downey's version of Doom.

It might take a while before we will be able to get our official look at Downey as Doom since the upcoming Avengers movies won't begin production until next year.
There's still a long road ahead for Marvel to prove to everyone that they made the right choice with Downey as Doctor Doom and this huge gamble that they made will pay off in a gigantic way.
Avengers: Doomsday is slated for release in theaters on May 1, 2026.
