Riverdale Season 6 Finale Synopsis
The show is already promising huge developments in line with this heightened narrative freedom. The Riverdale Season 6 finale's official synopsis has been made public, according to ComicBook. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the show's creator, co-wrote the episode, which will premiere on July 31 and is titled Night of the Comet. The synopsis claims that Archie and his buddies will soon be compelled to battle the "greatest threat" that Riverdale has ever faced. The synopsis is as follows:
A Major Threat
Riverdale has gone through a lot in its six seasons, including a massive time jump, the return of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's Kiernan Shipka in her title role from the spinoff series, and the unexpected twist that several of the major characters have begun to develop superpowers.
Anyone who has seen Riverdale knows that the seemingly peaceful town has been threatened in the past. Over the course of the show's five seasons, the protagonists have had to deal with everything from a major drug issue to serial killers and a killer cult.
The supernatural threat posed by Percival Pickens, the episode's new antagonist, will probably be the source of these raised stakes, and given that the episode's title alludes to the post-apocalyptic 1984 movie Night of the Comet, things may start to look very terrible for the town.
Fans will undoubtedly get a much better look at what may be happening in this pivotal episode in the week preceding the Riverdale Season 6 finale.
