Rian Johnson's Knives Out is Certified Fresh prior to the film's release!
Johnson is most probably known for directing Star Wars: The Last Jedi. It was a divisive movie, and fans still have mixed reviews about it since its release back in 2017. Some loved Johnson's take on Star Wars yet others feel that he ruined the iconic franchise. However, Johnson might have made a good comeback after TLJ.
Lionsgate took to Twitter about the film officially getting a Certified Fresh seal from Rotten Tomatoes. You can check out the tweet below:
Knives Out is currently rated at 99 percent on Rotten Tomatoes with an actual average rating of 8.46 out of 10 with 86 reviews. One can tell that his upcoming film could be a potential hit among the audience considering that it was acknowledged by critics when it debuted in the Toronto International Film Festival.
The director could have gained a bit of a bad reputation for The Last Jedi but he may have redeemed himself with the movie Knives Out.
If you aren't familiar with Rotten Tomatoes' system, requirements for a Certifed Fresh seal from the site include keeping a critic score of 75% or higher, with at least a total of 80 reviews.
Knives Out stars the likes of Chris Evans, Daniel Craig, Toni Collette, Michael Shannon, and Ana de Armas. It tells the story of a private investigator named Detective Benoit Blanc as he discovers the truth on the death of Harlan Thrombey, a renowned crime novelist.
As for Johnson's upcoming trilogy for Star Wars, he still has a vague answer to the question but he says he's still in talks with Lucasfilm.
Knives Out is scheduled for release on November 27, 2019.
