Ruka spotted Chizuru leaving Kazuya’s place and confronted him, demanding to know when they started dating.
Kazuya denied it, confused by Ruka’s presence. She reminded him that she came to return his manga.
Ruka vented about their supposed truce and accused Chizuru of faking her struggles with her grandmother, as she appeared perfectly fine.
Ruka pointed out that as a rental girlfriend, Chizuru shouldn’t have private meetings with clients, especially not in romantic relationships.
Chizuru fired back with the same argument about Ruka, but the latter revealed that she quit being one a few months ago.
Despite their attempts to explain, Ruka refused to listen to any of their excuses.
Later, upon entering Kazuya’s apartment, Ruka noticed the leftover homemade food and the general messiness.
She was quick to jump to the wrong conclusion. Overwhelmed by her emotions, Ruka started crying and attempted to leave.
However, Kazuya intervened and stopped her, knowing that he can’t tell her the truth about the movie just yet.
Caught in a dilemma, Kazuya pondered his options while Chizuru suggested they should come clean to Ruka.
They invited her into Kazuya’s apartment for a conversation.
Unexpectedly, Mini, who happened to be passing by, overheard their discussion and discovered that Chizuru was a rental girlfriend.
Inside the apartment, Chizuru disclosed that they are collaborating on a movie project.
Due to financial constraints, they cannot afford to meet in a café or talk on the balcony without disturbing their neighbors.
Kazuya apologized to Ruka, expressing his desire to avoid causing her stress.
He explained that he deeply respects Chizuru’s work as an actress and, considering her grandmother’s situation, he is genuinely committed to making the movie.
Ruka was okay with the setup and willingly offered her assistance, allowing her to spend more time with Kazuya and provide additional support.
However, she noted that if they preferred otherwise, she would not want to hinder their progress.
Chizuru comprehended Ruka’s standpoint, and both Chizuru and Kazuya were in agreement.
Meanwhile, Ruka asked Kazuya about which dish he preferred – Ruka’s curry or Chizuru’s omelet rice.
Kazuya sensed it could be a tricky question and feared any response could lead to disastrous consequences.
But he realized that if he doesn’t choose Curry, Rika might terminate the movie project.
Kazuya reluctantly stated his preference for the curry, which bring joy to Ruka.
With the issue resolved, Chizuru decided to give them space. Meanwhile, Ruka wanted to stay a bit longer with her boyfriend.
During the episode, Kazuya met with Teppei and presented him with the updated project, while Chizuru paid a visit to Sayuri and shared news about the movie.
Sayuri started laughing and noted that it must be Kazuya’s idea, as he likely discovered her desire to see Chizuru as a movie star.
Sayuri was open to any story they chose to write about her and was even willing to exaggerate her illness further.
Chizuru asked about Sayuri’s impression of her boyfriend. Sayuri was shocked that Chizuru brought a boy but explained that people are flawed, which is why they have their loved ones.
Kazuya, although imperfect with numerous weaknesses, is the best match in the world for Chizuru.
Kazuya ran back home and told Chizuru that Teppei green-lit their project. Chizuru also told him that Sayuri was fine with the movie and her storyline.
Before entering her apartment, Chizuru complimented Kazuya, calling him a “nice guy.” Kazuya was thrilled and declared that he would do his best.
Kazuya published the crowdfunding page and the next day found out that there were 33 backers who have already contributed 120,000 yen.
At school, Kazuya informed Ruka about the news and mentioned that hiring a professional for the script was not financially feasible.
Ruka shared a link to a web novel site, suggesting that they can find passionate individuals there.
Kazuya apologized once more for the movie but was thankful to her. Although Ruka wasn’t entirely pleased, she respected his decision.
Ruka appreciated his unwavering passion and feels content to be the girlfriend of someone so driven.
Later, Kazuya visited the web novel site and found several options.
But none of them were suitable for his project. Feeling hungry, he decided to step out for some gyoza.
On his way, Mini pulled him into her apartment unexpectedly.
Uncomfortable with the situation, he tried to leave, but she stopped him and cleared up any misunderstanding.
He also found out Mini was aware of his and Chizuru’s secret, so Kazuya shared the entire story.
Learning that this has been going on for a year, Mini got excited. She was convinced that Kazuya was madly in love with Chizuru.
She then developed an even greater admiration for him. Eventually, she expressed her desire to address Kazuya as “Master.”
