Record of Ragnarok Reportedly Removed from Netflix India for Disrespecting Hindu God

Just two weeks following Record of Ragnarok's Netflix premiere, the anime adaptation of the hit shonen manga is already causing quite the controversy on social media. For starters, fans have heavily criticized the adaptation for its sloppy animation which has been a constant subject within the fandom.

Now, Record of Ragnarok may be facing another issue as Netflix India has apparently removed the anime from its library. respect all religions, communities and their cultures and traditions. The stories that are on our service are not intended to be disrespectful or hurt the sentiments of any community or group." Zed's claims should be taken with a grain of salt considering he's not directly involved with the streaming service. Still, the issue involving Hinduism isn't too farfetched to believe given the fact that the said religious belief is considered sacred in the country. On the flip side, if Netflix India took down Record of Ragnarok due to its animation issues, I wouldn't be too shocked as well.

Record of Ragnarok's is still available on Netflix US. Also Read:Is Netflix's Upcoming Anime Record of Ragnarok Inviting Religious Criticism?
