Record of Lodoss War-Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth Launch Date Revealed With New Levels

Record of Lodoss War

fans (or more specifically, Deedlit fans), mark your calendars for March 27th!

In an

update posted to Steam

by publishers Playism and Why So Serious?, it was revealed that the

Record of Lodoss War

side-scrolling exploration and adventure game titled

Record of Lodoss War-Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth-

will leave early access on March 27th with the launch of the full version of the game which includes a fifth and sixth level. The game first launched on Steam about a year ago on March 12th, 2020 in early access mode and has gathered an overwhelmingly positive rating on the game service. The game is currently on sale for 20% off (or $10.39 USD) on Steam and will remain so until the launch of the full game on March 27th.

The Steam listing for the game describes it as:

Record of Lodoss War-Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth- is a 2D action adventure game based on Record of Lodoss War. Immerse yourself in the gorgeous pixel animations, use a variety of weapons and the power of elemental spirits on your journey to solve the arcane mysteries of the labyrinth.

While I'm not a major gamer by any stretch of the imagination, I can still see myself picking up this game at some point this month to satisfy my curiosity and game buying addition for one more month. I have no idea when I'll find the time to play it, but sometimes just owning the thing is enough.

For the longest time, I considered Record of Lodoss War the gold standard when it came to high fantasy adventures. And while I'm not quite sure that I still feel the same way about Record of Lodoss War, one thing remains the same: my love for Deedlit. You never forget your first anime elf and she was mine.

Deedlit is one of those characters that you never really forget. Strong, supportive, loyal, but still mischievously curious, which sometimes gets her in trouble. Deedlit is as close to a perfect example of an anime elf as I've ever seen in any remotely fantasy anime series since I started watching.
