Re:Monster season 2 is now on the wish list of fans who enjoyed the first season of the controversial isekai anime that follows Gobrou’s journey from being a helpless little goblin to a vicious Apostle Lord.
A lot has happened in the isekai anime, as Re:Monster’s first season covered more than 120 of Gobrou’s days in the fantasy world. He met a lot of allies and foes, but Gobrou’s journey is far from over.
Will There Be a Re:Monster Season 2? Our Predictions
Even after the final episode of Re:Monster aired, there has been no official news about season 2 plans.
As with many anime adaptations, fans eagerly await word of a second season, but it appears that they will have to wait for days, if not weeks, before hearing anything about the anime series' fate.
Beyond that, Re:Monster has a good chance of being renewed, despite being one of the most controversial anime of the spring season due to its themes of enslavement, abuse, and interspecies relationships.
It garnered a 6.60/10 MyAnimeList rating, which is higher than the average, indicating that the series maintained international interest enough to deserve a second season.
If the series does well in Japan, both in terms of sales and viewership, Gobrou and his friends, as well as his wives, are likely to return in season 2.
In terms of source material, the first season only covered a part of what was available, even skipping some content, leaving plenty of storylines for a potential second season.
Another factor to consider is the production team’s availability. But since Re:Monster is produced by Studio DEEN, which is known for releasing second seasons of their anime, there’s a decent chance that Re:Monster may be renewed.
What Could Re:Monster Season 2 Be About? Here's What We Think
Following Gobji’s death and the fighting festival, there is still a lot in store for Gobrou and his friends based on the events of the light novel and the manga, which are both ahead of the anime series.
If season 2 happens, Gobrou and company will possibly continue to expand their influence and territory while maintaining a friendly profile with outsiders, particularly humans and nobles who have an eye on them.
Gobrou will also most likely meet the famous first queen, who is involved with the faith of the five gods, who have been giving him blessings since he first came to the isekai world.
As usual, take all these predictions with a grain of salt as we wait for more news and updates about Re:Monster.
