Queen Elizabeth Made Sure First Meeting With Great-Granddaughter Lilibet Would Be Private
According to reports, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle introduced their youngest child, Lilibet, to Queen Elizabeth for the first time Thursday during Trooping the Colour. However, according to Page Six, they introduced Lili to the Queen on Wednesday when they landed in London. The couple reportedly made a brief visit to the Queen, so she could see their daughter.
Even if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not make a balcony appearance, they were present and watched the flypast with other royal kids at the Major General's Office.
When they introduced their daughter to the Queen, the latter declined to have any photographer around. The young parents wanted to capture the moment, but the Queen wanted it to be intimate and private and without any cameras.
"Harry and Meghan wanted their photographer to capture the moment Lilibet met the Queen," an unnamed source told The Sun. "But they were told no chance. It was a private family meeting."

Although the 96-year-old British monarch made sure that her first meeting with Lilibet would be private, she also ensured it wouldn't be the last. The monarch reportedly spent several days with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's children.
After their meeting on Thursday, the Queen spent time with Archie and Lilibet at Windsor Castle Friday evening, according to Page Six. The Queen met the Sussex children again the following day after she decided to cancel her attendance at the Platinum Party at the Palace musical concert.
"After reluctantly pulling out of Party at the Palace, spending time with her great-grandchildren and seeing Lilibet turn 1 added some light to her day. She thinks they’re adorable and gave Lili and Archie gifts," an unnamed source told Us Weekly.
