Queen Elizabeth II would have loved it if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had brought their kids when they visited her.
Queen Elizabeth Insulted By Prince Harry, Meghan Markle's Visit Without Children?
Meghan Markle's estranged dad, Thomas Markle Sr., weighed in on their unannounced visit to the 95-year-old royal. According to him, they should have not stopped because they didn't take their children — Archie, 2, and 10-month-old Lilibet — during the trip.
"That’s another slap in the face to the Queen," Thomas Sr. said in the latest episode of his Remarkable Friendship podcast on YouTube. "They shouldn’t have bothered stopping if they didn’t bring the kids… I think that she would look around and wonder where the great-grandchildren are and be disappointed that they weren’t there."
He added, "She’s always said that she wanted to see the children; she wanted to see Archie and she wanted to see Lili."
The former lighting director believed that Markle's mom Doria Ragland may have offered to look after the kids while they were away. However, he still felt it was "very odd" to travel abroad without their youngest child.
"Everything they do brings on more trouble. Like I said, leaving the kids behind and showing up with the Queen is an insult to the Queen. How many times do they have to do that to her?" he added.
Prince Harry Skipping Grandfather's Memorial Was Allegedly A Slap In The Face Of Queen Elizabeth
It wasn't the first time Thomas Sr. commented on the whereabouts of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. He criticized Prince Harry earlier for not attending his grandfather's memorial service last month even calling the act "unforgivable."
"Attending and giving respect and God's grace to Prince Philip for a lifetime of service was very important to the Queen, and for them to not show up is like a slap in the face to the Queen and unforgivable," Thomas Sr. said in a previous episode of the same podcast. "The British people won't forgive them for that, and they shouldn't. Otherwise, it was a good service and went down very well. And well deserved for that man."

Karl Larsen asked Thomas Sr. if it was possible his daughter held back Prince Harry since there were rumors Prince Philip discouraged his grandson from marrying her. "One steps out with actresses, one doesn't marry them," the late Duke of Edinburgh allegedly told Prince Harry.
"I don't know what the reason was," Thomas said before adding, "but there was no excuse for it, regardless of what. There's no excuse at all."
