Twitch streamers Valkyrae, Cinna, and Emiru were threatened with death by a man during a live stream, and QTCinderella responded by posting online to urge action against the assailant.
This incident led to concerned reactions from fans and also raised the suggestion for IRL streamers to implement safety measures moving forward to prevent attacks in public.
QTCinderella Calls for Urgent Action After Valkyrae, Cinna, and Emiru Are Assaulted by an Alleged Stream Sniper
Popular streamers Rachell, mostly known as “Valkyrae,” Brittany or “Cinna,” and Emily or “Emiru” were having an In Real Life (IRL) stream on March 2 when a person suddenly approached and tried to attack them.
The Sis-a-thon marathon, held at a theme park, came to an abrupt end after the assault, but viewers witnessed the entire incident and expressed their concerns in response.
Another well-known Twitch streamer, QTCinderella, reacted to the event and voiced her frustration over the lack of action from authorities and the community against the alleged stream sniper.
“The worst part is now you go to the police, and they won’t do anything. You try to file a report, they tell you to do it online. You do it online, and they reject it,” she stated in her social media post.
QTCinderella further shared her disappointment and helplessness over the situation, expressing her empathy for everyone affected.
An hour later, she posted again to inform fellow streamers about security options for IRL streams:
“LA STREAMERS IF YOU NEED SECURITY FOR IRLS THIS IS WHO I USE PLEASE USE THEM THEY ARE INCREDIBLE.”
She then added a link to Golden Bear Security, mentioning that she trusts “Raffi and his team with her life.”
Aside from QTCinderella, other streamers like xChocoBars have also called for change and better protection for content creators, warning that worse incidents could happen to those who disclose their location while streaming live.
Choco wrote on X: “Please please pleaaaaseeee the police and security need to do more for women who get stalked. I’m sick and tired of this law where they can’t do anything until something HAPPENS. NO. THAT CAN BE TOO LATE LIKE JUST TAKE THE THREATS AT FACE VALUE AND PROTECT!!! PLEASE i beg of you.”
Valkyrae and Cinna Speak Out Following Harassment Incident
The stream sniper who attacked the three popular Twitch streamers was reported to have followed them around the Santa Monica Pier, where they were broadcasting live.
Before the assault, the individual first asked for their phone number, then got down on one knee as if "proposing" while offering to sing for them, according to Keemstar's Drama Alert.
Valkyrae later announced on X that the streaming marathon, which had been running since February with Cinna, was now canceled. She assured fans that she, Cinna, and Emiru were safe but were taking time to process the incident.
Cinna also updated her fans, apologizing for ending the marathon and expressing her appreciation for the love and support during the IRL stream.
