Professor X And Magneto Reunite In New X-Men: Dark Phoenix Set Photos

It looks like Professor X (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) are going to meet up in 20th Century Fox's highly anticipated X-Men movie, Dark Phoenix.

Fox is currently working on Dark Phoenix's reshoots, and some sneaky fans have managed to take a few photos from the set of the upcoming X-Men series. In the new images that have managed to make their way online thanks to Instagram's mariopower.official, X-Men fans get to see Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr getting along together at some outdoor cafe. Magneto has with him a classy-looking portable chess board, and the two open it for a game on the table.

Check it out down here:

Seeing Charles and Erik playing chess together at some cafe definitely doesn't come as a surprise to the X-Men fan base. Chess has been a part of the character's relationship with one another, the two playing a game of chess in almost every X-Men movie that they've been in.

However, this game between the two is going to be especially significant.

The new class of X-Men is going to face a major problem with Jen Grey's (Sophie Turner) powers as Phoenix escalating in Dark Phoenix, and it's going to put a new strain on the friendship between Charles and Erik. The two have always had a complicated history, but we can't help wonder which side of the fence Charles and Erik are going to end up in at the end of the film.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is set to premiere on February 14, 2019.
