Prince William Poked Fun At Wife Kate Middleton
The Prince and Princess of Wales visited Windsor Foodshare in the heart of Windsor. The future king and queen consort helped sort the food donation, so they would be ready for pick up later in the day, People reported.
During the visit, the royal couple is visibly at ease. At one point, Prince William poked fun at his wife for chatting with the volunteers.
"Excuse me, too much nattering going on over here!" Prince William quipped, causing Middleton and the group to laugh.
According to the Cambridge Dictionary, nattering is talking "continuously for a long time without any particular purpose."
After a brief laugh, they continued pushing shopping carts and collecting items for donations.
Windsor Foodhare celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. The organization helps struggling families through weekly donations of bread, eggs, fresh fruit and vegetables. They also provide toiletries and cleaning products every month.
Prince William, Kate Middleton Scores Another Invite After Volunteer Work?
Sarah Kember, manager of Windsor Foodshare, had nothing but positive things to say about the Prince and Princess of Wales. She joked that "one was better than the other" but won't drop names.
According to the manager, the pair was "so friendly", and they made the people around them comfortable too.
"We found them so open and putting us at ease. They were comfortable in everything they were doing. They're such a lovely couple," she said.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wanted to be hands-on and not just observe the volunteers' activities. They even asked to be physically involved, and Kember was very happy to have "more hands to help."
Prince William and Middleton hinted that they might return to the food bank, and Kember made it clear that they were welcome. She even hinted that she would reach out to them if they needed more volunteers.
"They've been invited, and if I'm short of volunteers, I know where to go!" Kember said.
