Prince William and King Charles were painted in a negative light in Prince Harry’s memoir Spare. Even though the Duke of Sussex also had some nice things to say about his older brother and father, it’s obvious that his damaging stories about them were the ones that stuck with readers.
Prince William Most Upset With Prince Harry’s Bombshell Allegations In Spare?
Now, a source told People that Prince William and King Charles have very different reactions to Spare. The dad of three reportedly is most upset by Prince Harry’s bombshell claims, especially when he called him his arch-nemesis. King Charles, on the other hand, wants the situation to calm down ahead of his coronation.
“William is the one who is most upset and needs time to calm down. He has been painted as hotheaded and unsympathetic. But I don't think he will back down — it's whether they can move beyond it and accept that they view things differently,” the source said.
Royal author Valentine Low also weighed in by saying that Prince William would be furious about the betrayals of confidence, as made evident by the Duke of Sussex.

King Charles Wants The Royal Family To Focus On His Upcoming Coronation?
But King Charles wants the royal family to focus on his upcoming coronation right now because May 6 is just a couple of months away.
“It is such a momentous occasion for Charles, and he would want his son to be at the coronation to witness it. He would like to have Harry back in the family. If they don't sort it out, it will always be part of the King's reign and how he has left his family disjointed. He has had a reputation as a distant parent, and it would be awful for him for that to continue,” the source said.
King Charles Wants Prince William And Prince Harry To Reconcile Ahead Of His Coronation?
King Charles reportedly wants the royal family to reconcile with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for the sake of his coronation. And according to royal historian Robert Lacey, it would be a good look at the monarch if he is able to bring his family together for his coronation.
“[It’s] quite apart from [Charles'] paternal hope to reunite with his son, one of the jobs of the royal family is showing how to cope with the problems we all have in a human and thoughtful way. What will be a success for the family in the future is not reconciliation necessarily, but mutual acceptance of different ideas and priorities,” he said.
As of writing, Prince William and King Charles have not directly responded to Prince Harry’s memoir Spare.
