Prince Harry made everyone’s jaw drop when he announced, together with Meghan Markle, that he is stepping down from his senior royal duties to move outside the U.K. in an attempt to be financially independent from the Firm. The Sussex couple’s infamous Megxit reportedly affected their personal relationships with the other royal family members, especially with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles.
While it was initially expected that the public would stop criticizing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle following their split from the royal family, things got even worse. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to receive condemnations both from the media and the public even if they are living thousands of miles away from Britain.
Now, new reports suggested that the support for Prince Harry has plummeted since he flew off to the U.S. to live a new life alongside Meghan Markle, Archie, and Lilibet. Keep on reading to know more details.
Prince Harry Compared To Prince William, Reportedly More ‘Pitied’ Than ‘Respected’
George Grant made a shocking statement about Prince Harry via Twitter recently. The “millennial monarchist” compared the second son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana to his older brother, Prince William.

Via his official Twitter account, George Grant stated:
"Harry hasn't done anything besides moaning about how everyone's to blame for his unhappiness. Prince William is proving himself as a path-breaking visionary in the kind of work he's doing. William has global stature. William is respected. Harry is pitied! No comparison."
Another Twitter user agreed to George’s statement and wrote:
"Perfectly explained. William is respected. Harry is pitied."
The statement of George Grant came a few days after it was revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s ratings plummeted in a recent poll conducted by JL Partners. The analysis also found out that one out of three respondents claimed the Sussex couple had not given enough support to Queen Elizabeth over the last year.
Despite all the rumors about Prince Harry and Queen Elizabeth’s strained relationship, it was previously claimed that the two royals have always maintained a close and respectful relationship with each other amid the turmoil of the last two years.
The epilogue of the Finding Freedom book even suggested that the Duke of Sussex and Her Majesty shared a “very special” reunion in April 2021 after having been separated for more than a year amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, authors of the said book about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, claimed that Prince Harry spent most of his time after Prince Philip’s funeral with Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, who are close to him and his wife, Meghan Markle.
It was also claimed that the funeral did not only provide Prince Harry quality time with his cousin as he was also able to “spend precious moments” with Queen Elizabeth at the time. The unidentified insider told Omid and Carolyn:
"To see each other after so long apart, the longest he hadn’t seen the Queen for, was very special. Despite everything that has happened, he has the utmost love and respect for her. Her life of duty and service is one of the many ways in which she has inspired him to also serve.”
In January, Prince Harry revealed that he applied for judicial review after a Home Office decision previously ruled he would be unable to personally fund police protection for his family while in the U.K. The Duke of Sussex, in a released statement, wrote:
“Prince Harry inherited a security risk at birth, for life. He remains sixth in line to the throne, served two tours of combat duty in Afghanistan, and in recent years his family has been subjected to well-documented neo-Nazi and extremist threats. While his role within the Institution has changed, his profile as a member of the royal family has not. Nor has the threat to him and his family.”
Prince Harry is expected to attend the upcoming funeral service for Prince Philip in April and also join the celebrations of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in June. However, it remains unclear if Meghan Markle, Archie, and Lilibet would be able to join, especially since he has yet to settle the security row that he is currently involved in.

Prince Harry’s Super Bowl Appearance Labeled As ‘Overkill Display’ Of His New Life
Meanwhile, body language expert Judi James suggested that the interaction of Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie during an NFL Super Bowl game emphasized their strong bond as cousins for years. She added that the husband of Meghan Markle looked “proud as a punch” when he took his cousin to the event.
Talking to Express UK, Judi James said of Prince Harry:
"Harry’s leg splay and his almost overkill display of relaxation suggest he’s enjoying showing off his new life to his baseball-capped cousin. Her eye-smile and her rather tentative hand-touch to her own leg suggest she’s suitably excited and impressed by the occasion."
To recall, Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie were seen together at the Super Bowl earlier this week. Both royals appeared to wear black masks throughout the big game as a COVID019 precaution.
