Prince Harry previously revealed that he had already watched some episodes of The Crown. The hit Netflix series is set to return for Season 5 sometime this year, and what the Duke of Sussex said about the show is making headlines once again. In fact, it has been confirmed that one of his wishes pertaining to The Crown finally came true.
Prince Harry Watches The Crown
Royal expert Angela Levin was the first to share details regarding Prince Harry and The Crown. She previously shared details from her conversation with the Duke of Sussex. Levin asked Prince Harry if he watches The Crown, and he said yes.
“When I met Harry at Kensington Palace the first question he asked me was, 'Are you watching The Crown?' I mumbled and said, 'Are you and the rest of the Royal Family?’” Levin said (via Marie Claire).
“Yes, we're all absolutely watching everything but I'm going to insist it stops before it reaches me,” Prince Harry reportedly said.

Prince Harry Understands That The Crown Is Fiction
During his interview with James Corden on The Late Late Show With James Corden, Prince Harry explained why he’s not upset with the storylines featured in The Crown about the royal family.
“They [The Crown] don’t pretend to be news. It’s fiction. But it’s loosely based on the truth. I'm way more comfortable with The Crown than I am seeing the stories written about my family or my wife or myself. Because it's the difference between — that [The Crown] is obviously fiction, take it how you will, but this [the press] is being reported as fact because you're supposedly news. I have a real issue with that,” he said.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle’s Present-Day Life Won’t Be Featured In The Crown Season 5
The Crown showrunner Peter Morgan confirmed that he has no plans to include present-day storylines in the hit Netflix series. This means that Prince Harry got his wish for the hit show to end before it reaches him and his wife, Meghan Markle.
“Meghan and Harry are in the middle of their journey, and I don’t know what their journey is or how it will end. One wishes some happiness, but I’m much more comfortable writing about things that happened at least 20 years ago. I sort of have in my head a 20-year rule. That is enough time and enough distance to really understand something, to understand its role, to understand its position, to understand its relevance,” Morgan told The Hollywood Reporter.
