Following the massive success of the first season last summer, fans are now looking forward to season 2 of the hit Apple TV+ series Presumed Innocent.

According to recent reports, Presumed Innocent season 2 will take an entirely different direction for the show's next chapter.
The second season will not be based on another Scott Turow novel. Instead, it will have the upcoming novel Dissection of a Murder by Jo Murray as the source material.
The story centers on Leila Reynolds, who has just been handed her first murder case. She’s way out of her depth but the defendant only wants her – and to make matters worse, her husband is the prosecutor. Soon, Leila is fighting to keep her own secrets buried too.
Jake Gyllenhaal is not expect to return in season 2, but he will remain involved as an executive producer. A female star will be cast to play the season's main lead.
It is unknown yet whether some of the supporting cast members from the first season will be returning to season 2, but there were plans to carry them over to the new season.
When is Presumed Innocent Season 2 Coming Out?
Apple TV+ has not set a release window yet for Presumed Innocent season 2, but fans might hear details about it soon.
There is a possibility that production might begin next year. However, the details are still in influx as the new season is still in early development at this point.
Another potential hurdle is that the source material Dissection of a Murder won't be released until early 2026 so that could likely prevent them from filming season 2 anytime soon.
