Pokemon GO is Officially Adding Gen 5 Pokemon Next Month

After fans saw the Gen 5 starters in a Pokemon GO anniversary banner, Niantic has confirmed that monsters from that region will be coming to the hit mobile game next month. Tepig, Snivy, Oshawott, and other fan-favorite Pokemon will be coming to GO on September 16 so fans better start hoarding those Pokeballs. Overall, it's good to see this game continue to get updates and we can't wait to see what else GO has in store for us.

Confirmed by Niantic themselves, they didn't say how many Pokemon from Black and White's Unova region would be available for catching. Usually, Niantic limits the amount of Pokemon that appear in GO, saving the others for future events or Raid Battles.

Fans of Pokemon Black and White are probably ecstatic over this since they waited quite a bit for these monsters to be available. Black and White are often considered to be some of the best games in the series, thanks to a decent storyline and making the Pokemon you catch new until you beat the game. It also had some of the more fun gyms in Pokemon history.

This writer has actually been playing his fair share of Pokemon GO in recent years so the news is pretty exciting. I can't wait to see what these Pokemon look like in GO's 3D graphics and it'll be fun walking around with them.

Pokemon GO is now available on iOS and Android.
