Avengers: Endgame has finally made its premiere, closing the curtain on the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, as fans continue to reflect on the last ten years of the franchise, some have decided to look back at all the 22 films in the MCU. These fans have catalogued some pretty interesting stats, including the screentime that each Marvel hero has enjoyed throughout the last three phases of the franchise.
Taking to Reddit, one fan has calculated and ranked the top sixteen Marvel characters based on their screentime.
Of course, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) comes out on top of the list with 6.41 hours of screentime in the MCU. Tony Stark has always been considered one of the biggest stars in the franchise – not only did he appear in three solo films and four Avengers movies, but he also began the MCU with the first Iron Man movie.
Captain America (Chris Evans) comes round second with 4.6 hours of screentime. Then there's Thor (Chris Hemsworth) who's appeared 3.82 hours on the big screen. Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) holds the sixth place, taking 2.12 hours of screentime.
Interestingly enough, MCU newcomer Peter Parker (Tom Holland) finds himself in the eight place with 1.55 hours of total screentime. Meanwhile, original Avenger Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) has had only 1.16 hours on the big screen. Maybe that's why Disney has decided to give the sharpshooter his own series on Disney+ along with other Marvel heroes like Rocket Racoon (Bradley Cooper), Loki (Tom Hiddleston), and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen).
Avengers: Endgame is currently screening in cinemas.
