With Halloween fast approaching, The Nun 2, Saw X, and Godzilla Minus One are not the only spooky movies unleashing terror in cinemas this year, one of Stephen King’s classics, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines is also set to give Horror junkies the creeps.

Instead of receiving a proper theatrical release, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines will be available to stream directly (and exclusively) from Paramount+ starting on Friday, October 6, 2023.

Initially, the Stephen King prequel will only be streaming in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, and Brazil, but will eventually get its international market release the day after, Saturday, October 7, 2023.

Since Pet Sematary: Bloodlines is a prequel to the 2019 Pet Sematary remake, there’s no question as to why this film will be including a couple of the original cast members to connect the timeline.

Jackson White plays young Jud Crandall aka the Jud played by Fred Gwynne in the 1989 movie, and John Lithgow’s Jud in the remake.

Alongside her is screenwriter turned first-time director Jeff Buhler (2019’s Pet Sematary), who co-wrote the prequel.

As previously mentioned, since Pet Sematary: Bloodlines is a prequel that takes place before the events of the 2019 remake, the film is set 50 years before the latter movie.
