The season 2 premiere of Peacemaker featured a graphic NSFW orgy scene that shocked both fans and the people involved in the series.
The highly anticipated second season of the DCU series was finally released on HBO Max last night. Not only did it give us an outlook on what's next for Peacemaker and the gang's next adventure, but it also featured the most graphic scene yet in the DCU.
What Happened in Peacemaker Season 2 Premiere's NSFW Orgy Scene?

During the second season premiere of Peacemaker season 2, John Cena's Chris Smith found himself hosting a drug and alcohol-fueled party at his house after getting depressed for being rejected by the Justice Gang.
Not only that, there was also an orgy in every room of the house where the guests at the party were shamelessly naked and having sex with each other.
John Economos, who was surveilling Peacemaker's pocket universe visiting activity, also visited the house around that time and was shocked by what he was witnessing.
This is easily the show's most incredibly graphic moment (and in the DCU so far) as the sequence featured a lot of people who were full-frontal naked, and it is far from the family-friendly tone of Superman.
"It's definitely the most graphic day I've ever had on a set, and I was just an observer. You're the first person to ask about this — I'm shocked that nobody has mentioned this. It was insane!" Steve Agee, who plays Economos, described his experience to EW.
"You get a script and it says, 'John Economos sneaks up to the house and looks in the window, and there's this orgy happening,' and it's not really specific and detailed," he explained.
"It says, 'There are people having sex,' and in my head I'm like, 'There's only so much you can show on TV, so it'll be fine.' And then they didn't tell me what I was going to see, and my reaction is legitimate. I walk up to a window and there's like 30 people in a room having sex, and it is a graphic scene."
How Did James Gunn Manage to Pull Off the NSFW Orgy Scene?
The NSFW orgy scene in the Peacemaker season 2 premiere was filmed in a closed set in respect to the extras who were naked.
Showrunner/director James Gunn credited the intimacy coordinator as the main reason he managed to shoot the scene smoothly, admitting that "it was actually pretty easy" despite its very wild nature.
"I've heard old-school directors complaining about intimacy coordinators, but I think that they're the best thing that has been given to us as filmmakers in the past 20 years," he said.
"We had a great intimacy coordinator on set during those days, and it made it really easy to direct those scenes, to allow people to do what they were comfortable with, but also really go for it."
Gunn continued, "And we had a bunch of great — they aren't background actors because they're foreground for much of it, but people who were really committed to it, just a wonderful group of people willing to show this insane chapter from Christopher Smith's story."
