Paris Jackson has called out Colman Domingo for claiming that she is involved in the Michael Jackson biopic.
Lionsgate and director Antoine Fuqua are currently working on a biopic centering on the late King of Pop with the cooperation of the Jackson estate. Production already wrapped, and it is planned to be released in theaters in April of next year.
Recently, Domingo, who is set to play Joe Jackson, claimed that Paris, Michael’s daughter, has been supportive of the project, and she has been “lovely” to him.
What Does Paris Jackson Think of Colman Domingo’s Recent Claims?

In her recent post on Instagram Stories (via Deadline), Paris Jackson debunked Domingo’s claims that she is supportive of the Michael Jackson biopic.
“[Colman Domingo], don’t be telling people I was ‘helpful’ on the set of a movie I had 0% involvement in lol that is so weird,” she wrote.
“I read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my notes about what was dishonest / didn’t sit right with me, and when they didn’t address it, I moved on with my life. Not my monkeys, not my circus. God bless and God speed.”
After her post made some buzz, Paris added, “I wasn’t involved at all, aside from giving feedback on the first draft and then getting the feedback that [production] was not actually going to address your notes at all.”
She explained further: “So I just butted out and left it alone because it’s not my project. They’re going to make whatever they’re going to make. A big reason why I haven’t said anything up until this point is because I know a lot of you guys are gonna be happy with it. A big section of the film panders to a very specific section of my dad’s fandom that still lives in the fantasy, and they’re gonna be happy with it.”
So far, Domingo has not responded to Paris’ remarks about his comment on her involvement in the project.
What is Paris Jackson’s Issue with the Michael Jackson Biopic?
In subsequent posts, Paris Jackson explained the issue that she had with the creation of the Michael Jackson biopic and its alleged depiction of her father.
"The thing about these biopics is — it’s Hollywood. So it’s fantasy land. It’s not real, but it’s sold to you as real and a lot of sugar coated. The narrative is being controlled, and there’s a lot of inaccuracy and there’s a lot of just full-blown lies. At the end of the day, that doesn’t really fly with me," she said.
"I don’t really like dishonesty. I spoke up. I wasn’t heard. I f***ed off. That’s it. Y’all are gonna like the f***ing movie. So just go watch it. Go enjoy it. Do whatever. Leave me out of it."
Jackson also shot down the speculations that she has resentment over her father, which is why she chose not to participate in the biopic that is "filled with inaccuracies."
"That’s not my truth. That’s not where I’m coming from. I just prefer honesty over sales and monetary gain," she added. "I kind of just don’t want anything to do with that. So I’m gonna f*** off again and I’m gonna keep minding my business. I suggest you do the same."
The Michael Jackson biopic, Michael, is currently slated to release in theaters on April 24, 2026.
