Ainz Ooal Gown Conquers the Sacred Kingdom in New Overlord Movie
Overlord is a dark fantasy and isekai anime about Momonga, the YGGDRASIL player who can't get out of the game.
Momonga assumes the identity of Ainz Ooal Gown, the Supreme Being in charge of the guild of Nazarick and the other NPC guardians.
He aims to find more players in the new world, reveal more secrets, gain more knowledge and technology, and provide a utopia for all of his subjects.

The first of the two visuals is for the regular screening of the film, while the second visual is for the IMAX screenings.
Is Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom Movie Canon?
Yes, the Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom Arc Movie is canon. The new Overlord film will also not be a recap or compilation of previous seasons, unlike the first two films of the series.
It will not only adapt the events of the original light novel series, but it will also fill in the plot holes from Overlord season 4.
Hence, it's critical to watch the Overlord: Holy Kingdom Arc Movie to learn what happened between Ainz Ooal Gown and the Sacred Kingdom.
Also note that Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom movie will not be a direct sequel to the anime's fourth season.
In fact, the events will take place between episodes 7 and 8 and will reveal what Demiurge has been up to on the sidelines while Albedo is preoccupied with diplomatic relations and public affairs.
The events of the film are mostly self-contained, so they will not affect an anime-only viewer.
