Fans have been waiting for updates on STARZ's Outlander. Based on the novel series with the same name by Diana Gabaldon, the historical drama has captured the hearts of many. When it was announced that the show was renewed for another installment, all fans have been raving about is when will it air and what's going to happen in Outlander Season 6.
If you don't know, the premise of Outlander centers on Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) who is a World War 2 military nurse that got transported back in time to 1743 where she met Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), a dashing highland warrior. The story then picks up from their meeting to them falling slowly in love with one another.

Catriona Balfe revealed, during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, that her character and love interest, Sam Heughan's Jamie Fraser, will be facing adversities in Outlander Season 6. They will have to face new villains as the story progresses.
The Christies will be their biggest problem as they settle down on Fraser's Ridge. What sort of hardships the two will face in Outlander Season 6 is something fans can only guess at this time.
"Outlander does baddies and villains quite well. [The Christies] aren't your typical villains, which is great and refreshing."
OutlanderSeason 6 Release Date
It was announced earlier this year that the filming of Outlander Season 6 is finished and that the release date will most likely be in 2022. The creators of the show did not confirm it yet but new rumors are pointing at the early season of 2022. There will most likely also be the seventh season.
