Star Wars Celebration is expected to return with a bang this year after skipping the 2024 schedule, but with just two weeks away before the galactic extravaganza commences, a key actor from the sequel trilogy has unfortunately bailed out of his supposed appearance, leaving many quite dismayed.
Here's Why Oscar Isaac Won't Show Up at Star Wars Celebration 2025
It turns out that Oscar Isaac, who played Poe Dameron in the sequel trilogy, has canceled his appearance at the upcoming event. As per reports, the 46-year-old actor cited "change in his production schedule" as the reason for him pulling out of the awaited convention.
Isaac was originally slated to headline his own panel, “A Conversation with Oscar Isaac", which would have seen him talk about Poe in commemoration of The Force Awakens' 10th anniversary.
Details surrounding Isaac's withdrawal from the event still aren't available as of writing, but Leap Ticketing is ready to issue refunds to guests should they decide to cancel.
Which Actors are Expected to Appear at Star Wars Celebration 2025?
The star-studded Star Wars Celebration 2025 will feature a who's who of Star Wars actors who will grace the celebration live and in living color. Currently advertised are Hayden Christensen, Anthony Daniels, Temuerra Morrison, Ahmed Best, Rosario Dawson, and Diego Luna among others. The full list of celebrity guests can be found here.
As for Isaac, speculation is running high that the project he'll be working on, which resulted in scheduling conflicts for 'Celebration' is Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday.
While he wasn't initially revealed to be part of the cast during Marvel's internet-breaking 5-hour announcement last month, a lot of fans are under the assumption that Moon Knight will be involved in the next Avengers film which is reportedly set to begin filming soon.
Star Wars Celebration 2025 will take place at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba City, Japan, from April 18 to 20, 2025.
