One Punch Man’s Hero Rankings Explained

In One Punch Man, the heroes registered with the Hero Association are further categorized into four different classes based on their prestige and abilities. They are also given number rankings within their classes. So, learn more about the different One Punch Man hero rankings below.

S-Class

S-Class

The S-Class is considered the strongest and most prestigious class. This class is made up of heroes who can easily defeat Demon Mysterious beings.

There are 16 members in this class, with Blast as the highest-ranked hero. The other notable members of this class are Blast, Tornado of Terror, Atomic Samurai, and Child Emperor.

A-Class

Second to the S-Class, the A-Class is still considered a prestige class among the four groups. Heroes who reached Rank 1 in B-Class can move up to A-Class.

Members of this class are known to be able to defeat Tiger Mysterious Beings on their own, and there are a total of 39 heroes in this class.

The top hero of this class is Sweet Mask while Saitama was ranked 39th. The other members of this class are Iaian, Okamaitachi, Bushidrill, and Heavy Tank Loincloth.

B-Class

B-Class

Heroes who reached Rank 1 in C-Class can switch to B-Class. The heroes in this class are not required to fulfill any quotas or do any weekly heroic tasks. But they must be able to defeat Wolf-level Mysterious Beings easily.

This class has a total of 100 heroes, with Fubuki as the top hero. The other heroes in this class are Eyelashes, Mountain Ape, Wild Horn, and Glasses.

Saitama used to be a part of this class before he was promoted to A-Class.

C-Class

C-Class

Newly registered heroes are immediately categorized under C-Class. Heroes who belong in this class are expected to fulfill their quotas, or they will be removed from the association.

Even if they are not as strong as the other classes, the heroes under the C-Class are expected to be stronger than average citizens.

There are a total of 390 heroes in this class, with Mumen Rider as the highest-ranked hero. He is followed by Monster Roper Shell, Tanktop Tiger, D-Pad, and Funeral Suspenders.

Unknown Class and Unregistered Heroes

The unknown class is made up of heroes whose rank and class are not revealed. It is not sure if their specific ranks will be disclosed eventually, but for now, there are 12 heroes under this group: Custom Hero, Gunma, and Pandaman, just to name a few.

Unregistered heroes, on the other hand, are heroes who do not receive credit for their work. They are not mentioned in any media as well.

Saitama and Genos used to do unregistered hero work before they joined the Hero Association.
