One Piece fans have been treated to many exciting chapters over the past year, but they’ll have to wait a bit for the next one. Today, it was confirmed that One Piece Chapter 1112 is delayed as the manga will go on a month-long hiatus.
Even though One Piece has been ongoing for over 20 years, creator Eiichiro Oda has not taken many breaks.
In recent years though, it seems that Oda has begun taking some well-deserved time off, even if just for a few weeks.
One Piece is Getting Another Long Hiatus in April
The One Piece manga’s Egghead Island arc began back in August 2022, and it has since delivered lots of big reveals regarding the world. What’s more, the arc has also been filled with lots of action.
While the arc is seemingly about to end, fans will need to wait a bit longer for the arc’s final chapters as the One Piece manga will go on a month-long break.
Chapter 1111 is still set to be released this weekend, though the next chapter’s release will happen after one month.
This is not the first month-long hiatus for the series. In fact, it seems that this kind of hiatus will happen every year. After all, similar breaks happened in 2022 and 2023.

One Piece Chapter 1112 Delayed, New Release Schedule Announced
One Piece Chapter 1111 is set to be released worldwide on March 25. This means fans can still look forward to more interesting developments this week.
After this though, the next three weeks will not have a new chapter. Instead, Chapter 1112 is scheduled to come out on April 22.
This doesn’t mean the weekly schedule will instantly resume though. While Chapter 1113 will be released on April 29, Weekly Shonen Jump will go on its annual Golden Week break the following week.
Chapter 1114 will not be released on May 6. Instead, it is expected to come out on May 13.

What is the Reason for the One Piece Hiatus? Fans Speculate
Oda’s break in June 2023 was done because he was recovering from eye surgery. Meanwhile, his June 2022 hiatus was done so he could rest after the Wano Country arc’s end.
There’s no reason given for the April 2024 One Piece hiatus. This led to some fan speculation about the break being just in time for the Japan spring season.
Some also think it has to do with preparations for the next One Piece live-action season.
Whatever the case may be, most fans agree that Oda deserves this break given how impressive the ongoing arc has been.
