The month of May has always had significance to the Star Wars franchise but there's no doubt that the science-fiction franchise will be taken to even greater heights this year with the return of Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen who are set to reprise their iconic roles as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the upcoming spinoff series Obi-Wan Kenobi.
As it stands, very little is known about the show apart from the fact that it will take place 10 years after the events of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Despite key details about the project remaining scarce as of the moment, fans are still over the moon about the show's arrival. Now, a new leak pretty much confirms that a familiar face will also be appearing in the highly-anticipated series.
According to a report from Making Star Wars, Jimmy Smits is set to reprise his role as Senator Bail Organa in the upcoming limited series. In fact, the Star Wars alumnus, who has starred in projects like Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and Rogue One was reportedly spotted on the set of Obi-Wan filming scenes with McGregor.

With the involvement of Bail Organa as well as Beru and Owen Lars, it's almost safe to assume at this rate that Obi-Wan Kenobi will also feature appearances from the younger versions of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. Now, whether or not these characters will play substantial roles in the limited series remains to be seen.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will begin streaming on May 25, 2022, exclusively on Disney+.
