At the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, the comedian actually gushed over the engagement and how the couple “worship[s]” each other. While chatting with Entertainment Tonight, Nikki said that no one would have seen it coming for the couple.
“I’m not one to say I saw it coming, but it’s just very obvious to me that this was going to be lasting forever,” Nikki told the outlet, while sharing that Kelce, after watching his New Heights podcast with Swift last month, was “the kind of guy that you want your best friend to be with.”
“He’s obsessed with her, and that’s what every girl deserves, and every guy deserves,” Nikki added, “I think it’s going to ruin some relationships, to be honest.”
The TV Personality went on to say that people will likely project their current relationships and end up comparing with Travis and Taylor’s, “I think there’s a lot of people watching it like, ‘Maybe I deserve better.’” Ultimately, declaring that Taylor has “raised the bar” romantically for women.

Like a Non-Disclosure Agreement, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift had long reportedly been engaged, even before their public announcement on their Instagram account to share the good news.
According to the Page Six news outlet, Travis popped the question to the pop star “a couple of weeks ago”; however, the exact date of him bending his knee with the ring remains unknown.
The news outlet managed to confirm that Kelce’s family members found out about the engagement long before the public announcement. The Kelce family, of course, opened their arms to welcome Taylor into the family.
