Studio Trigger Unveils Exciting New Anime for Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt
Over a decade later, Panty, Stocking, and Garterbelt will make a comeback on a new anime project, which will be produced by Studio Trigger.
The same studio brought viewers Delicious in Dungeon, Darling in the FRANXX, and Kill la Kill, to name a few.
This announcement was made through a video message streamed at the Kadokawa Industry Panel at this year’s Anime Expo.
The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Trigger Inc. also posted a new teaser visual for the original anime, as shown below:
The main staff of the new anime project has also been revealed, including director Hiroyuki Imaishi (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners).
There’s no word yet on the main cast of the series, but it’s likely to re-cast the original voice actors of Stocking Anarchy, Panty Anarchy, Garterbelt, and Briefers Rock.
Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt Anime Set for 2025 Release Window
While the release date window of the new Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt anime has been confirmed, its exact release date is still under wraps.
Since details are still scant and there’s no promotional video released yet, there’s a huge chance that the new anime will come in late 2025, most likely in the fall season, to give the production staff ample time to finish the anime’s high-quality production without delays.
If so, then the new Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt anime is expected to drop in the first week of October 2025, probably between the 1st and 5th of the month.
