Anime fans can look forward to another round of delightful and heartwarming episodes with the Minami sisters, as the release date of the new Minami-ke anime is set to be announced soon.
It’s about time for viewers to return to the endearing world of the Minami sisters, where everyday life is anything but ordinary!
Minami-Ke Manga Gets Fifth TV Anime Adaptation after 11 Years
Wish has been granted for longtime fans of the comedy anime Minami-ke as the Mixa Animation Diary Minami Ke 20th Anniversary Tanabata Festival event revealed that the franchise is getting a new anime adaptation that will be the series’ fifth season.
As of writing, there are no concrete details about the new anime, but the event unveiled a visual that features the Minami sisters, Haruka, Kana, and Chiaki, as shown below:
There’s no promotional teaser as well, so fans will have to stay tuned for more information and updates in the coming weeks.
New Minami-ke Anime Release Date Predictions
The new Minami-ke anime is still in its early stages of development, as only the announcement has been revealed to the public without any information about its main staff, cast, or production studio.
With this, it’s almost certain that the new Minami-ke anime will not be released this year and fans will have to wait longer before they can see the Minami sisters again.
Historically, new seasons release their debut episode a year or two after the announcement has been made, so it’s possible that the new Minami-ke anime, revealed to be the fifth season, will most likely arrive in 2025 or 2026.
What Could the New Minami-ke Anime Cover?
The first four seasons of Coharu Sakuraba’s Minami-ke manga adapted more than 200 chapters, but they also skipped some chapters that could be adapted into the new Minami-ke anime series.
Should the new anime follow the events of the manga, Minami-ke season 5 may start covering the events in chapter 206, titled Wish Tree Times, where the girls enjoy udon while looking at the moon.
It’s expected that the new anime will continue to offer more lighthearted and entertaining stories, which made the series a huge hit back in the day.
