NBC admitted to making a blunder about an announcement involving Meghan Markle. Apparently, she is not making any appearance on the network, as previously reported.

Meghan Markle To Appear On NBC's The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon?

NBC published a report announcing that the Duchess of Sussex will visit the set of Jimmy Fallon's late-night show. She will reportedly make an appearance to talk about her and Prince Harry's latest endeavors.

However, Omid Scobie, co-author of the Sussexes' unauthorized biography Finding Freedom, immediately reacted by debunking the claim.

"Looks like someone at NBC didn't get the memo! Despite an announcement via their various PR channels, Meghan isn't scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show," he tweeted.

Markle's fans were happy about her upcoming guesting. However, Scobie's tweet confused them about whether Markle would make a TV appearance.

NBC admitted its blunder and clarified that Markle would not be making an appearance on the show as it previously claimed.

"Earlier today, it was inaccurately reported that Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, would be appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on December 7," NBC's rep told Daily Mail.

Meghan Markle Canceled A Scheduled Appearance On The Tonight Show?

According to Daily Mail, NBC's blunder came nearly three months after the Duchess of Sussex cancelled a scheduled appearance on The Tonight Show. Apparently, she was set to be on the late-night sow in the wake of the Queen's passing on Sept. 8.

Prince Harry's wife was set to appear on the talk show on Sept. 20. The same day, Prince Harry was due to attend the UN General Assembly in Manhattan. Both cancelled their appearances.

The Sussexes were in Britain for some engagements when Her Majesty passed away. They only intended to stay in his home country for a couple of days, but they extended to attend the Queen's funeral.

According to Daily Mail, the suggestion that Markle was due to appear on a talk show would cause major concerns within the palace as she was reportedly going to speak about their upcoming Netflix docuseries.

There are speculations that their project on Netflix and Prince Harry's memoir Spare could put an end to any hope of reconciliation with the royal family.

Will Meghan Markle eventually appear on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon to talk about her projects?
