Kohei Horkioshi's My Hero Academia franchise is becoming more popular. Its third season recently wrapped and its recent U.S. theatrical run of My Hero Academia: Two Heroes just wrapped with huge success.
Now, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes is the Top 10 highest-grossing feature film in the U.S. According to recent box office reports, the new shonen film is currently ranked number ten for top-grossing anime films in the U.S. The anime franchise's first feature film earned $5,721,371 in less than two weeks. The film was only screened in less than 550 theaters during its limited run but it opened with $1.39 million in the U.S.

Created by Kohei Horikoshi, My Hero Academia has been running in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump since July 2014. The series follows Izuku Midoriya, who lives in a world where most people have superpowers known as "quirks", even though he was born without one. Determined to become a superhero, his heroic idol All Might grants him power and he enrolls in a school for professional heroes. The series has been licensed by Viz Media for an English language release since 2015.
