Here's What Happened Before My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 16
In My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 15, titled Tartarus, All For One has finally taken over Shigaraki by possessing him and giving orders to his army.
They are looking at raiding Tartarus, a maximum security prison where the "dregs of society" are imprisoned.
The army destroys the main gate by killing the guards, paving the way for their entry into the island.
Shigaraki flies on a Nomu as he tries to regain control of his body, but All For One is stronger. Furthermore, All For One convinces Shigaraki to submit by calling him "the next me."
AFO has a shared consciousness with Shigaraki, so as the more dominant one, he launches EMP attacks to cut off the prison's power.
Eventually, the prisoners such as Muscular, Moonfish, and Stain are set free. As they escape, AFO declares himself the Demon Lord, saying that everyone should follow him.
All For One goes on to command various aircraft as the prisoners join their crew, and Shigaraki goes back to the League to rest.
Spinner is having second thoughts on whether to follow Shigaraki and not whoever is in control of his body.
Meanwhile, Bakugo wakes up at the Central Hospital where he learns about what happened in the war. He learns that Gran Torino and Eraser Head are alive but still in critical condition.
Endeavor, on the other hand, is in surgery, and the hospital has been surrounded by protesters.
Shoto is still recovering as his mother and siblings pay him a visit.
While everyone is already recovering, Deku is still comatose, and All Might is waiting for him to wake up.
