My Hero Academia Author Shares Excitement Over Second Movie

We're getting a second My Hero Academia movie this year and fans are pretty hyped, especially after the positive reception the first film, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, received from both fans and critics. Details on the second movie are slim, as in, no one knows what it will be about or if it will be considered canon but we're happy to know that the series' author is happy about the news.

On Twitter, Kohei Horikoshi shared an image celebrating the franchise's second movie. It's a really weird image too, showing Deku as Needlehead, homages to Studio Ghibli, and Bakugo as…the film's director? My Hero has done some silly things in the past but if this is what the second movie will be like, the series has officially entered trippy territory.

Horikoshi was heavily involved in the first movie, writing the film and even stating that it was canon since he always wanted to explore All Might's past. We would love to see Horikoshi involved again in the second one, though him supervising should be enough. Let's just hope that it's a quality film and fans love it again.

No release date for the second My Hero Academia movie has been revealed. Expect one in the coming months.
