Paul explains that, since the surge of Mana devastated the village, he and his companions have been trying to track their former neighbors and family members. Rudeus shares his adventures, and Paul asks him why he never tried to write home. Rudeus has no answer for that, and the two clash.
Rudeus flees, remembering how he was shunned in his past life. Later, he's comforted by Eris, who tries to cheer him up.

The release date for Mushoku Tensei Episode 17 or Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Episode 6 is next Monday the 8th of November in Japan. International fans, including those based in Europe, Canada, and the US, will be able to watch it from Sunday, the 7th of October.
