Miley Cyrus is entering the world of Pandora as she announced that she has contributed an original song for the upcoming film, Avatar: Fire and Ash.

The third installment of James Cameron's billion-dollar science-fiction franchise is set to arrive in theaters later this year. Fans have been looking forward to seeing what the filmmaker has in store for the next adventure in Pandora and what other mythology and technological wonders he will introduce in the film as he expands our view of Pandora.

What is Miley Cyrus' Original Song for Avatar: Fire and Ash About?

Cyrus recently announced on social media that she has written an original song for Avatar: Fire and Ash titled "Dream As One," which will be featured in the end credits.

She co-wrote the song with Andrew Wyatt, Mark Ronson, and Simon Franglen. This also puts her in the awards conversation, as this could be her gateway to receiving her first-ever Oscar nomination for Best Original Song.

In the caption, Cyrus explained her inspiration behind the creation of the song and thanked Cameron for recruiting her to be part of the Avatar family.

"Honored to support Avatar: Fire and Ash with an original song I’ve written with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt. Having been personally affected by fire and being rebuilt from the ashes, this project holds profound meaning for me," she wrote.

"Thank you, Jim, for the opportunity to turn that experience into musical medicine. The film’s themes of unity, healing, and love resonate deeply within my soul, and to be even a small star in the universe the Avatar family has created is truly a dream come true."

Cyrus is the third music artist to contribute an original song for the Avatar franchise. Leona Lewis notably performed the theme song for the first film, while The Weeknd contributed to the sequel, The Way of Water.

The song is scheduled to be released on music streaming platforms on November 14, one month before the film's release in theaters.

What to Expect in Avatar: Fire and Ash

Just like the previous films, the third installment will be released in theaters on December 19. There is no official runtime yet, but Cameron has hinted that it will be longer than The Way of Water.
