Michelle Trachtenberg’s passing was sudden and unexpected for many, but a friend shared what the actress had been dealing with for years.
The source told Us Weekly that “there was something medically wrong” with Trachtenberg whenever they spoke.
The Gossip Girl alum, who was found unresponsive in her apartment on February 26, had suffered from back issues and bone problems for years, according to a friend.
Due to religious reasons, Trachtenberg’s family declined an autopsy, leaving the cause of her death unknown. However, sources say she had undergone a liver transplant just months ago.
The confidant of the Hollywood star added, “She was very open with those close to her about having the transplant, but she never went into detail.”
