Michelle Obama’s guest on the Wednesday episode of her "IMO" podcast, co-hosted with her brother Craig Robinson, brought out her playful side.
Brian Chesky, CEO of Airbnb, who also occasionally hosts guests in one of his own properties, shared a story about a visitor who admitted to refreshing the website thousands of times just for a chance to book a stay at his home.
Obama offered her own take on the guest’s motivation:
“I have to say, Brian, if I’m a single girl out there and I find out that Brian Chesky is single and I can, like, stay in his house…”
“Here she goes,” Robinson interjected. “Brian, you don’t have to feel pressured.”
The conversation shifted to Chesky’s love life, as he recalled how both Obama and her husband, Barack, have tried to set him up in the past.
“I’m very invested in Brian’s love life,” Obama admitted. Chesky added that the former President is also eager to help, often offering relationship advice and playing matchmaker.
It’s worth noting that Chesky remains single, with a reported net worth of $8.8 billion. He previously dated Elissa Patel for four years, after meeting her on the dating app Tinder.
Earlier in the episode, while introducing Chesky, Obama praised his character and remarked, “If I had a son, I would want my son to be Brian.”

Of course, some critics saw Obama’s behavior as distasteful and inappropriate, especially since this comes amid ongoing divorce rumors involving the former President.

“As a woman who is married to a former president, this is something fairly distasteful coming out of her mouth. What else was she thinking?” another X user stated.
