Meghan Markle is reportedly working on her own memoir. The report about the Duchess of Sussex writing her own book came a week before the release of Prince Harry's memoir.
Meghan Markle Reportedly 'Contemplating' Writing Her Own Memoir
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a four-book deal with Penguin Random House. Markle has already written a children's book titled Bench, released in June 2021. Prince Harry's book, Spare, is due next week.
The royal couple is tipped to be working on a "wellness" book together. So, the fourth book could be Markle's autobiography, Mirror reported.
An anonymous source told The Sun that Markle is "contemplating getting entirely candid about her time in the royal limelight." It will reportedly be a tell-all. The outlet noted that while it sounds like she is still contemplating the book, Markle could reportedly be already actively working on it.
"She fully intends to write this book and leave no stone unturned," a tipster told OK! (via The Sun).
"It’s just a question of timing and how long she wishes to hold out in order to preserve what’s left of her and Harry’s relationship with King Charles. The feeling at this point is there’s little to lose, and she may as well go ahead. The process is already quietly underway."
Meghan Markle Could Use Her Book To Launch Her Political Career?
If Markle pens her own autobiography, it could put her in a well-trodden American political tradition. For years, there have been rumors that Markle wants to join politics and her being outspoken on women's rights and other issues only fueled the speculations.
"I would find it surprising if Meghan didn't publish her own story, to be honest. Spare is clearly Prince Harry's chance to tell his, but hers is equally compelling. I mean, how many actresses end up marrying a Prince?" a Hollywood agent told The Mail on Sunday.

"If she's harbouring political ambitions it would make even more sense,' pointing out that Presidents Clinton, Obama and Trump all wrote books setting out their beliefs before launching bids for the White House."
Markle is reportedly closer to America's "political royalty," especially after she and her husband, Prince Harry, received an award from the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights non-profit organisation last month.
