The Duke and Duchess of Sussex claimed they ditched the royal life for good in an attempt to become financially independent and to live a more peaceful life with Archie and Lilibet.
Despite their demand for the public to respect their privacy, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry continue to hit the headlines over a myriad of things, including their future projects. Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Not Yet Ready To Release Their Netflix Content?
Royal expert Daniela Elser claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have yet to deliver their content for Netflix more than 14 months since they signed the lucrative deal. She, as per Express UK, stated:
“More than 14 months ago, in September 2020, when their money-making marriage with the streaming was first revealed, they loftily promised they would be making 'content that informs but also gives hope'. Goodo then, but where is it?”
For starters, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have previously announced two Netflix project: 1) Pearl, a children’s animation, and 2) a documentary about the Invictus Game, which is a charity sporting event for veterans that the Duke of Sussex has previously founded. While these contents are expected to be “touching and powerful,” Daniela Elser shared that it might not make an impact with audiences.
The royal expert added:
“These might both prove to be touching and powerful shows but on paper they don't exactly sound like they will be setting viewers or Hollywood on fire.”

Daniela Elser also pointed out that the delay could be because high-quality TV shows and documentaries can be time-consuming to create. She furthered that it is a situation that have become more challenging amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prince Harry Couldn’t Bring Archie And Lilibet In Britain Sans Police Protection?
Meanwhile, a legal representative for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle issued a statement Sunday after Mail on Sunday reported that the Duke of Sussex had sought a judicial review of a Home Office decision not to allow him to pay for police protection when in Britain.
The statement says the brother of Prince William “inherited a security risk at birth, for live” that his private security team “cannot replicate the necessary police protection needed whilst in the U.K.”
The statement, as per Town And Country, read:
“Prince Harry inherited a security risk at birth, for life. He remains sixth in line to the throne, served two tours of combat duty in Afghanistan, and in recent years his family has been subjected to well-documented neo-Nazi and extremist threats. While his role within the Institution has changed, his profile as a member of the Royal Family has not. Nor has the threat to him and his family. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex personally fund a private security team for their family, yet that security cannot replicate the necessary police protection needed whilst in the UK. In the absence of such protection, Prince Harry and his family are unable to return to his home.”
Most, if not all, royal fans are aware that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received taxpayer-funded police protection when they were still working royals. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex lost it when they decided to step back from their senior royal duties in March 2020.
A legal representative for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle claimed that the duke had offered to pay for the police protection when they were in Britain moving forward. However, his attempts to negotiate it were reportedly rejected.
The announcement reportedly dampened the possibility of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Archie and Lilibet returning to the United Kingdom for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth this summer.
While it remains to be seen as to who would attend the milestone revelries, it was hoped that the Sussex family would be reunited with the other members of the royal family this time.
