Meghan Markle and Prince Harry hadn't been seen together when he promoted his memoir Spare. The royal couple also decided to spend their son Archie's birthday apart.
Prince Harry's biographer, Angela Levin, spoke about their relationship after she rejected him on the kiss cam.
Meghan Markle Doesn't Want Prince Harry Near Her, Biographer Says
On Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted watching the NBA playoffs — the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies — at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. At one point, the kiss cam panned on them.
Prince Harry was visibly game and leaned on to kiss his wife. However, Markle just laughed and turned her face away before giving him a playful tap.
Levin weighed in on the incident when she joined Dan Wootton on GB News, in her opinion, she didn't want him to kiss her.
Levin told Wootton:
"I think she didn't want him to kiss her. I think those days are possibly far less of an interest for her. But she did a huge laugh, you can see this laugh, she opens her mouth wide, and she leans over, [as] if her whole body's laughing. But you know, somebody like me thinks that it's all phony, and she's doing that laughter to sort of tease him. But really, she didn't want him near her."
Levin also questioned Markle's disappearance when Prince Harry promoted his book earlier this year. He did a lot of TV interviews and appearances, but she was nowhere in sight.
The author of Harry: A Biography of a Prince believed that the interviews were difficult for Prince Harry as he opened up about his family. She said Markle should have joined her husband at the time.
The incident also received mixed responses from netizens.
One said:
"She was like, 'Stick to the script, Harry! No kiss cam, you know very well your bank account is dry and can't pay for my needs.'"
Another wrote:
"Absolutely she rejected him [on] national television."
Another user also said that she sees a "divorce on the horizon."
Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Will Divorce, Duchess' Sister Claims
Celebrity astrologer Emile Adame shared her thoughts about the royal couple last year. According to her, they were "at odds," and she could "see a lot of problems in the relationship behind closed doors."
The fortuneteller said when she appeared on the To Di For Daily podcast:
"This is a very challenging marriage, very challenging. Here's what I feel... I can see two roads. And one of the roads that I see is that the relationship itself... that they could grow apart at some point emotionally, but that Harry would feel a duty to his children, and would not leave them."
However, Markle's half-sister, Samantha Markle, believed otherwise. She previously told TMZ that she could see their marriage ending in divorce.
Samantha said:
"I see it ending in divorce unless they get extensive counseling and can agree to work on being honest, to work on apologies to everyone that they've damaged in the course of this bull-in-a-china-shop two-year-spiel. I mean nothing. Nothing about any of this has been on it and the damage to the royals has been massive, especially now."
