As promised by Chris Miller yesterday, a big reveal for Into the Spider-Verse was set to drop and today we have a new trailer for the film, which gives us a first look at all the other Spider-people who will be appearing in the movie.
Besides Miles Morales, Peter Parker, and Gwen Stacy, we get a look at Spider-Ham, Spider-Man Noir, and Peni Parker a.k.a. Sp//dr. Interestingly enough, Noir will be voiced by Nicolas Cage with Ham being voiced by John Mulaney (Big Mouth); Peni will be voiced by Kimiko Glenn (Orange is the New Black).
While I'm already a fan of the animation that we've seen in the last trailers, it's revealed that each universe in the film has a different style of animation, and we get to see it implemented on each of the Spider-characters.
Besides all the Spider-heroes appearing in the trailer, we also get a look at the villains. While Kingpin and the Prowler seem very comic-accurate, this is the first time we've seen Scorpion not just with the mechanical tail, but legs and a claw as well.
It's also pretty neat that when Peter Parker introduces himself, there are a lot of references to the Sam Raimi Spider-Man films.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is looking to be one interesting movie to watch out for and I can't wait till it hits theaters Dec. 14.
