A new rom-com anime is in the works, as the release date window of Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms has been confirmed.
It’s about time for Ran Kuze’s love comedy series to come to life and introduce the main characters, Mona and Medaka, to viewers!
Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms Manga Gets Anime Adaptation
It has been confirmed that Ran Kuze’s rom-com manga series, Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms, is inspiring an anime adaptation after an official website for the anime opened.
The official website also unveiled the anime’s staff, in addition to the first teaser visual and promotional video of the series.
The 40-second promotional video showed the main characters of the upcoming anime and revealed the main staff, including Yoshiaki Okumura (Elementhunters, Monsuno) as the director. The anime’s production studio is Synergy SP.
Meanwhile, the second promotional video as well as the first character video for Mona have also been released.
So far, two cast members have been announced, and they are Yu Serizawa (Nozomi Kitahara in MF Ghost) as Mona Kawai and Ryota Iwasaki (Morita in Snack Basue) as the titular main character Medaka Kuroiwa.
Additional cast members and staff are most likely to be announced at a later date.
Medaka Kuroiwa Release Date Predictions
Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms is confirmed to debut in 2025, but no exact release date has been revealed as of writing.
Based on the promotional materials that have been unveiled so far, it looks like production of the anime is already well underway, which could suggest that the rom-com anime could come out as early as winter 2025.
If so, then Medaka Kuroiwa is expected to debut in the first week of January 2025.
Should the anime not debut in early 2025, then it’s most likely to premiere in mid-2025, sometime between the spring and summer seasons.
