When you are a big fan of something, waiting for its release date can feel like a lifetime away. The Fantastic Four is one of the most anticipated projects at Marvel Studios. The First Family are some of the most iconic Marvel heroes from the comics, yet their original films did not receive a warm reception from both fans and critics, so fans are hoping that the upcoming installment of the franchise will give the team the redemption arc that they deserve. With that, Marvel producer Nate Moore recently offered a little more information about The Fantastic Four.

Speaking with Deadline, Moore teased that Fantastic Four will come first before X-Men as it is expected to be in theaters in 2025. “Fantastic Four, Fantastic Four. We have Matt Shakman directing, who's so talented and who did WandaVision for us, and I think people are going to be pretty surprised by what we're doing.” he shared. WandaVision is one of the most well-embraced projects of Marvel because of its effective and affecting execution of the narrative. If Shakman is going to utilize the same direction that WandaVision went, the twists and turns will be splendid and innovative in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.

As of the moment, other important details about the film are being kept under wraps, but it was recently announced that the casting process is ongoing, and it is expected to begin “casting Sue Storm first and building out the rest of the team after she is set.” Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige also previously said that Fantastic Four will not be an origin story. “A lot of people know this origin story. A lot of people know the basics. How do we take that and bring something that they've never seen before? We've set a very high bar for ourselves by bringing that to the screen.” he explained.

One of the Fantastic Four has already made an appearance in the MCU, with The Office's John Krasinski playing Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic, in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Despite this, Krasinski confirmed that he will not reprise his role in the upcoming standalone film. But a few names have been tossed around, including Ryan Gosling, Penn Badgley, Diego Luna, Dev Patel, and Adam Driver.

The Fantastic Four is slated to premiere on February 14, 2025.
