There have been a lot of supergroups in the Marvel Universe from the Avengers to the X-Men, but it looks like one group is being primed for an appearance in the MCU.
According to The Illuminerdi, Marvel is currently in stages of developing a project based on Marvel's Illuminati. We don't know if it's going to be a film or a series, but seeing as the group in the comics consists of very high-profile MCU characters, I would think this would be something closer to the films.
In the comics, the Illuminati consists of the smartest and most powerful characters in the Marvel universe, first appearing as a precursor to Civil War. Members include Doctor Strange, Black Bolt, Mr. Fantastic, Professor X, Namor, and Iron Man.
Seeing that Tony Stark is already dead in the MCU, the only living Illuminati member from the comics is Doctor Strange. I guess you could have Black Panther fill for the roles of Namor and Black Bolt, but there are still a lot of roles to fill. Good thing is, we have Mr. Fantastic and Professor X incoming soon, and there are rumblings that Namor will eventually appear. At this point, I think Bruce Banner/Hulk has also earned his seat at the table.
While the concept of an Illuminati movie/series is interesting, I personally don't think they make for a good spectacle. If anything, they just have serious discussions about the fate of the universe. If you ask me, they should just make some kind of after-credits scene that features all these high-profile characters. How awesome would it be if they kicked off Phase 5 with an Illuminati short?
These are all just rumors for now, so it's best to take them with a grain of salt. The next MCU movie, Black Widow, is set to come out on Nov. 6.
