Marvel Teases Carnage's Return in Web of Venom: Carnage Born

Marvel fans were pretty surprised when Carnage was killed off during the events of Venomized. He might be one-dimensional but Carnage is still one of Spider-Man's most popular villains and always made for a fun adversary. It looks like Marvel is going to bring him back, or at least tease it, as the company has announced Web of Venom: Carnage Born #1.

Set for release this November, Carnage Born is a one-shot written by current Venom scribe Donnie Cates, with art from Danilo Beyruth. After the events of Venomized, a cult that celebrates the mad villain was formed and they might have what it takes to bring him back. Cates confirmed to ComicBook.com that the one-shot will have a huge impact on his Venom series so this might just be a must-buy.

The writer also revealed that he was a big fan of the psychotic Marvel one-shot Carnage: Mind Bomb, written by Castlevania's Warren Ellis and drawn by Kyle Hotz. Cates said that the comic scared him as a kid and made Carnage his favorite Marvel villain, hence his excitement to write him in this one-shot.

Another neat detail is that Mind Bomb artist Kyle Hotz is drawing the one-shot's cover, which must be a dream come true for Cates.
