It's been two years since the Multiverse Saga was launched but it will only begin taking shape this year with the official arrival of Kang the Conqueror via Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. The multiverse-traversing villain is being presented as an even bigger threat than the Mad Titan Thanos and with the involvement of his variants ready to wreak havoc across several timelines, the Earth's Mightiest Heroes will need major backup.
The next two Avengers films, Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars are already promising to be the MCU's grandest crossover events and if those two mega-flicks weren't enough, it looks like Marvel Studios will be adding another Avengers film to the already stacked saga.
According to the moderators of r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers, Marvel Studios is looking into the possibility of splitting Secret Wars into two films, a strategy the Infinity Saga already utilized with Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. As it stands, nothing has officially been confirmed so take this one with a huge grain of salt.

Personally, I love the idea of Secret Wars being presented as a two-parter because if the rumors are to be believed, the film will feature a ton of cameos from past Marvel actors. On top of that, the current MCU roster is pretty stacked with the addition of the Eternals and the Fantastic Four.
Even if the film is given a massive runtime similar to Avengers: Endgame, I think it wouldn't be enough for the story they're trying to tell, and the most logical route is for Secret Wars to be split into two parts but hey, that's just me. Hopefully, we'll get some much-needed updates in the coming months.
Avengers: Secret Wars is currently slated for release on May 1, 2026.
