Marvel Spots An Exciting New Detail In Groot’s Avengers: Endgame Poster

Earlier this week, Marvel dropped 32 different character posters for Avengers: Endgame, confirming heroes that had passed away at the hands of Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Avengers: Infinity War and heroes that survived the Decimation.

While most fans were busy grieving over the sudden revelation that Black Panther fan-favorite Shuri (Letitia Wright) had been one of those who had fallen victim to the Snappening, one fan noticed a subtle little detail added to Groot's (Vin Diesel) character poster.

Taking to the Marvel Studios subreddit, Marvel fan u/BatmanHimself posted a picture of Groot's "Avenge the fallen" poster to point out an interesting little addition to everyone's favorite talking-tree. Teenage Groot has his very own goatee! It's not surprising considering the new Groot's age (the first version of Groot sacrificed himself in Guardians of the Galaxy), but it's interesting to see how Groot's really embraced puberty.

Marvel fans were pleasantly surprised by what they saw and quickly swarmed to the post, writing things like "Groote," and "Treenager." Others even called Groot an incel, saying that the goatee makes him look a lot like a neckbeard.

One fan made a sharp comment though, correcting the post by saying that Groot doesn't have a goatee, but instead "had" one, reminding fans of his painful death in Infinity War. Groot died in the arms of Rocket, and later on, GOTG director James Gunn revealed that the Guardian had called his longtime partner-in-arms his father, breaking fans hearts online.

Will the Avengers be able to bring Groot and the others back?

Let's wait and see.

Avengers: Endgame premieres on April 26, 2019.
