Marvel fans lost quite a number of heroes in Avengers: Endgame. Not only did the film take the life of Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) but it also took Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and forced Captain America (Chris Evans) to pass the mantle to Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and retire.
While Marvel fans aren't really expecting any more losses now that Marvel is moving on to Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, rumor has it that the studio may be thinking of killing off another major character soon.
According to a report by We Got This Covered, sources say that Marvel is thinking of retiring Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) in the upcoming She-Hulk Disney+ series. Bruce Banner might be set for a recurring role in the highly anticipated series, however, the entertainment news outlet's sources say that fans are going to lose the physicist when Hulk decides to sacrifice himself to defend his cousin, Jennifer Walters, from the Red Hulk.
We can't be entirely sure when exactly this might happen in the series. It may happen in the show's first batch of episodes. It might happen in the second. We can only hope that this might give Hulk time to make a few appearances in the MCU, perhaps in Thor: Love and Thunder or perhaps in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Of course, as with any rumor, we remind fans to take this report with a grain of salt. Sure, Marvel might want to make room for She-Hulk, but we can't be sure whether or not the studio wants to retire Hulk in the process.
Let's just wait and see.
